December 9, 2024Our Government Solutions business unit recently announced the creation of a new Bus Safety Division. This division will focus on bringing to market new solutions and features to address the potentially deadly consequences of drivers illegally passing stopped school buses.
Belinda Olivares will serve as general manager of the new division. In her previous role as the vice president of global operations – service enablement, Olivares played a crucial role in leading the company’s initiatives to expand its network of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE). She advocated for synergy to deliver world-class client support, foster a culture of learning and development, and leverage data-driven insights to drive decision-making.
“Belinda has shown true leadership in leveraging our capabilities and taking our company to the next level,” said Jon Baldwin, executive vice president of Government Solutions at Verra Mobility. “Her strategic insight and extensive experience have helped the company better align on diversity, community engagement, and embracing the holistic needs of our customers. I look forward to the direction and success that she will deliver with this new focus.”
In the past six months, we have contracted with cities in Florida, Virginia, the District of Columbus, and Rhode Island to implement these safety programs helping to create safer school commutes for thousands of students. The no-upfront cost solution also aids communities with delivering safety options with no financial commitment.
